| In reading all of the
other comments written about Betsy, it is hard to improve on
what has been said. However, I think I can put a different
light on Betsy's commitment to doing the best job she can for
her clients.
When we moved to Maui two years ago we
rented a home next door to Betsy not knowing at the time
that she was a realtor. Betsy came over and welcomed us and
made us feel at home right way. After getting to know her
and having her over to our home, I found out what a
dedicated person she was in relation to her job and her
family. It amazed me how she could do both in such a
professional manner. We would be having dinner together, the
phone would ring and sure enough a client would need
something and Betsy would take the time to answer their
questions or make a phone call to make sure that she was
giving the correct answer right away. Although dinner would
take a little longer when Betsy was there, it was nice to
see that kind of commitment from a realtor.
Three months ago it was time for us to
buy a house and of course Betsy got the call. Knowing Betsy
for over a year and a half, she had a very good idea of what
we wanted and what price range we required. It’s refreshing
too when a realtor only shows you what you want to see and
in the price range you want. It did not take long to find
what we wanted and with what we requested.
After the sale in most cases if you
see the realtor again it’s an unheard of thing. Well as in a
lot of homes there are some problems that come up and Betsy
was there to help even after the sale was final and we were
living in the home.
I can say that Betsy has the skills
and knowledge needed in all aspects of purchasing and
closing of a home on Maui. In closing as has been said
before by others, I would recommend her to anyone needing
assistance in selling or buying a property on Maui.

I have lived on Maui for 15 years and
in that time have come to know many Realtors, professionally
and as friends. I feel that I understand the "culture" of
Realtors on Maui. Of all the Realtors who service upcountry
Maui, I can heartily recommend the best of the lot -- Betsy

After notifying every Realtor to look
for a house specific to my needs as a handicapped person,

six months. When this unique house came onto the market, I
was notified by her within two hours. This gave me the

my offer for acceptance. Then, worked through email and a
five hour time difference, to iron out the details with my
sister in Kansas City who was financing the sale.

Whew......we did it !
On our 3rd visit to Hawaii and 1st
visit to Maui we were lucky enough to have been introduced
to you. My wife and I fell in love with the Islands on our
first visit, but Maui stole our hearts. Upon arrival to
our hotel the first day in Maui we had a message waiting
on our phone and it was a kind aloha from none other than
Betsy Jacobsen our soon to be island Host. If it were not
for your ability to answer all of our questions (and
promptly find answers to ones you didn't know) I doubt we
would have made an offer on a parcel of land on our very
first visit to Maui. Just a couple days later our offer
was countered and Betsy unequivocally suggested that we
counter back. That market experience of hers saved us a

My wife and I recently bought a home
on Maui. We had been looking for just the right place to
meet our needs over a period of several years. We were
quite picky and had some very specific needs. Over the
course of time we had worked with several Realtors, all of
whom became frustrated and discouraged after a number of
months of showing us every house available. Eventually we
found ourselves with Betsy and like all of the other
Realtors we “put her through the ringer”. But Betsy never
faltered, became frustrated or stopped trying to find the
right house for us. When we used up all of the available
inventory of houses for sale in the areas we were looking,
Betsy did a mailing to all of the homeowners in those
areas to see if any were interested in selling, hoping
that one might have the house we were looking for. When we
finally found the house we wanted, Betsy did everything
possible to help us make the deal necessary to purchase
the home.
That wasn’t all though. After the
deal was agreed to, Betsy continued to help with all of
the necessary inspections, making appointments and
following up on reports; making sure the necessary
repairs, etc. were made; helping us with finding a good
mortgage company; and finally, she helped us to find some
of the workers we needed for some of the remodeling we
wanted. After the sale was closed and the house remodeled,
Betsy was still there to help with a few minor problems
that cropped up and needed to be ironed out. Not once did
Betsy’s smiling face falter in her constant attempts to
make our finding and purchasing a new home a positive
experience. I would joyfully recommend Betsy to anyone
looking to buy or sell a home.
